Group Trip for Medics & others – Uganda

Join a Locally Led Medical Journey

This group trip is designed for medical professionals who want to contribute skills with respect, humility, and collaboration, while experiencing Uganda beyond volunteering.

You will be based in Jinja, work alongside Ugandan healthcare professionals, and be supported by both a local Ugandan team and Danish coordinators throughout your stay.

Primary period:

Optional extension:
23 Marts – 12 april

There is no minimum or maximum stay within this period.

Program Overview

    • Voluntary medical work during the day

    • Cultural, social, and nature-based activities in the evenings

Activities include

    1. Voluntary medical work in hospitals and villages

    • Health screenings

    • Basic medical check-ups

    • Support with medical records and follow-ups

    • Playing with the kids

  1. Accommodation & Safety

    • You will stay in Jinja

    • Shared rooms with others of the same gender

Daily support from:

    • A local Ugandan support team

    • Danish coordinator traveling with the group from the 1st of April

You are never left on your own — but you will also have space to rest, reflect, and enjoy the experience at your own pace.

Local Support

Throughout the trip, you will be accompanied by local companions — trusted Ugandan team members who:

    • Assist with logistics and transport

    • Ensure safety and orientation

    • Act as cultural bridges and daily support

They are not just guides in the traditional sense, but local friends walking alongside you.

Price

20,000 DKK (3200 USD) – All Inclusive

The price includes:

    • International flights  (+ a little fee if you’re outside Europe)

    • Visa

    • Yellow fever vaccine

    • Accommodation

    • Three meals per day

    • All local transport

    • Local companions and full logistical support

    • Medical coordination and volunteer setup

    • If you’d like to experience an extraordinary safari experience you can do it for only 1200 USD.

All participants are kindly asked to go through a short screening process.
This helps us make sure the program is the right fit for you, aligns with your values and expectations, and allows us to support you in the best possible way throughout your journey.

After that date, there will be an extra service fee.
